Who I Am

I am a small country-town girl, a first generation college student, the eldest of five.  I am a story teller, a writer, a spinner of poetry.  I till the earth, plant seeds, and feed chickens.  I love to crochet, take pictures, make jewelry, and look at the stars on warm summer nights.  I have made mistakes, snowmen, and lots of good memories.  I love my family and my friends and I don’t have any enemies.  I listen to lots of different kinds of music, the howl of coyotes, and the rush of wind off the prairie.  And I hope one day, that someone will look up from one of my books and say to no one in particular, “maybe life’s not so bad after all.”
